Mixed media artist and image maker. While photography explains my visual perception of world, most other mediums enable me to interpret it. Digitally fusing the two practices has given rise to an entirely new genre of work. The diametrically opposed concepts of logic and chaos are unapologetically prevalent in all my work, though thankfully not always at the same time.
My formal qualifications were in industrial design, followed by textile design. Both have served me well, however the desire to create art and images in abundance, is my constant companion, resulting in a multi-disciplinary portfolio ranging from expressive landscapes on canvas, to photography and digital manipulation. The results are a lucky dip of intuitive colour, metaphorical ideas and a joyfully jaded wide-angled outlook on the universe at large.
While I don’t believe I could entirely exchange the mayhem of the studio for the discipline of technology, it has certainly stretched my creativity into a new realm.
